INVISIBLE OPERA

THE INVISIBLE OPERA asks audiences to slip on a set of headphones and step into a world conducted by an unseen, all-knowing presence.

Created Sophia Brous, working in collaboration with performance makers Lara Thoms and Samara Hersch and New York choreographer Faye Driscoll, the work is designed to be experienced in public space.

As the everyday action at Melbourne's iconic Fed Square unfolded, a voice seemingly narrates the goings on in real time, forcing the participant to question what is real—and who is watching.

Quiet RIOT produced the Melbourne presentation of The Invisible Opera for RISING festival in partnership with Arktype.
