Hive City Legacy is a global movement created by Hot Brown Honey that transforms femmes of colour in your community into a powerhouse performance collective. It is bold, political, joyous and unapologetic. And you can host the next chapter.

Wherever Hot Brown Honey tour, they are asked the same question: “How do we create a show like this?”

Hive City Legacy is the answer. It activates genuine local talent, builds cultural leadership and leaves a lasting legacy in every city it lands.

Created by Hot Brown Honey co creators Lisa Fa’alafi and Kim “Busty Beatz” Bowers, the project begins with their radical performance making approach. They pollinate by sharing their collaborative, cross disciplinary process with a group of local femmes of colour. Together, they craft a sixty to seventy minute professional production that speaks fiercely and directly to the lived experiences of your community.

This is not a workshop. This is not community theatre. This is world class performance making with a global feminist force at the helm.

Hive City Legacy has already reshaped cultural landscapes across three major cities:

• London Chapter, Roundhouse 2018, followed by a 2019 United Kingdom tour to HOME Manchester, Circus City Bristol and Wales Millennium Centre.

• Dublin Chapter, 2022, created with Dublin Fringe Festival and nominated for a Fringe Award.

• Naarm Chapter, 2025, created with local femmes of colour and produced by Quiet Riot Creative and Hot Brown Honey with a presentation at Arts Centre Melbourne.
