Support Femmes of Colour in your community by collaborating with Hot Brown Honey and Quiet RIOT on the Hive City Legacy project. When touring, Hot Brown Honey are constantly asked 'What do I need to do to make and present a show like Hot Brown Honey? They created the Hive City Legacy project to ACTIVATE the genuine interest in their work.
In this project, Hot Brown Honey co-creators Lisa Fa’alafi and Kim “Busty Beatz” Bowers POLLINATE by sharing their philosophy and collaborative, cross disciplinary, live performance making process to create a 60 - 70 minute professional production with femmes of colour in your community. Hot Brown Honey's ambition is to create Hive City Legacy Chapters all over the world to LIBERATE femmes of colour and create an unapologetic and genre defying experience that will challenge and uplift both participants in the project and audiences.
The first The Second Hive City Legacy took place in 2022 n partnership with Dublin Fringe. This followed on from the inaugural Hive City Legacy which occurred in 2018 in partnership with London’s Roundhouse.
The project has been a huge success in both cities both in terms of critical acclaim and ongoing impact in the community. Hive City Legacy; London Chapter was performed at The Roundhouse for a two week season, returning in 2019 for a UK tour including Home Manchester, Circus City Bristol and Wales Millenium Centre. Hive City Legacy: Dublin Chapter was nominated for a Fringe Award.
