Hot Brown Honey turn up the heat in this smash-hit, genre defying show that celebrates femmes of colour. Steeped in the Word of The Mother and packing a punch of Hip Hop politics, Hot Brown Honey has taken the world by storm by making audiences laugh until they cry, clap until their hands bleed and shake every part of what their mama gave them.
Recipients of the 2016 UK’s Total Theatre Award for Innovation and Australia’s Green Room Awards for Best Production and Best Design, Hot Brown Honey have lit centre stage at some of the most prestigious venues and festivals across the globe including Sydney Opera House, Southbank Centre (London), Arts Centre Melbourne, Brisbane Festival, Dublin Fringe, Sydney Mardi Gras, Auckland Pride Festival, The Cultch (Vancouver) and Hull Freedom Festival to name a few.
In 2023, Hot Brown Honey: The Remix toured the UK visiting HOME Manchester, The Belgrade Coventry, Glastonbury Music Festival and The Nottingham Playhouse. This touring has been been possible with the generous support of Australia Council for the Arts, Arts Queensland and House of Oz
